Out of Iraq

It started when we went in, it will end when we leave

With casualties to US troops and Iraqi civilians soaring, Bush will not admit that Iraq was a mistake, saying “we cannot lose in Iraq or we lose the war on terror, we fight there so they don’t come here to fight us.” The public is not receiving uncensored news from Iraq, and the Bush administration continues to spin a one-sided explanation of the events there.

US citizens should separate the war on terror from Bush’s blunder of invading Iraq. There is no guarantee that the current Iraq government will last, and the majority in Iraq want the US out. Bush says that we will not leave until we win, but the situation may not change while we occupy Iraq “to protect the American people.”
As with most wars, governments created by occupation forces do not last.

Let Bush retire with this dismal Iraq disaster Iraq his legacy, and let the rest of the world try to settle Iraq. Iraqis now wish we would leave; while Americans are tired of lies, gibberish and pitiful slogans like “staying the course.” How can Bush order Americans to die in order to export “democracy” when his party is full of scandal and wrongdoing?
